RTF document oo-about-ubuntu-ru.rtf loads up in gedit

Bug Description

I installed Dapper Beta today and I opened the examples folder. I tried out all of the examples and I found a problem with the RTF document oo-about-ubuntu-ru.rtf. It loads up in "gedit" which displays a lot of garbled symbols which I can't really make sense of.

I then tried opening the file with OpenOffice.org Writer and it loads up correctly, displaying a nice Russian text.

The bug is that the file doesn't open in the correct application and because of that it isn't readable.

I'll confirm this. Maybe it's a MIME-type error, but I'm not sure how to edit those settings.

Nope, it opens up in OOo on my week-or-two-old copy of Edgy. I'll run Update Manager and upgrade to 6.10 Beta, and if it still opens in the right app, I'll mark this bug as fixed.

Yes, it's still fixed in Ubuntu 6.10 beta. No idea when this happened, but I guess it'll be all set for launch in a month.
