Hi,

I was wondering if this was still a problem for you? If not you can probably move the files out of the way and do a sudo apt-get update.

Thanks - I now think the problem was with the chipset on the Motherboard
- it was impossible to update Ubuntu - I have no problems on the other
machine I am running
