Bug Description
Binary package hint: bind9
Update Manager nearly always fails to install several packages with a report about the var/cache/apt/ files being corrupted - sometimes when trying to report the bug it tells me it is not a genuine ubuntu package. I have had this problem ever since I got a new computer last week and did a fresh install of 9.04

Hi,
I was wondering if this was still a problem for you? If not you can probably move the files out of the way and do a sudo apt-get update.
