Bug Description
After updating on 2009-07-30, I have noticed that icons are missing from the Places and System options in the Gnome menu, as well as the User Switch Applet and from the drop down menus in every Gnome application. Nothing I can do brings them back, so I have assumed this is a bug from an update.
Using Karmic Alpha 3.

I have the exact same problem that occured after an update on 7/30. I installed using the 7/30 daily-live cd, and it was an update after that that caused this problem.
