Announcements not exposed in launchpadlib

This is not something that needs to be fied in launchpadlib. The API is part of Launchpad itself (in this particular case probably part of the registry project) and launchpadlib only provides a transparent interface to it.

There is already a bug tracking this issue, I marked yours as a duplicate.

I see you are already working on another branch. I think it is risky to undertake more than one issue at a time. Launchpad engineers only do it in the cases of trivial bugs or by chance. Have you had a pre-implimentation meeting with another Launchpad engineer to learn if he agrees that your code and test changes are appropriate?

I didn't talk to a LP developer on that topic, but I discussed on the two others ones (gpg key and create series) and intellectronica that can be easily exposed.

I was planning to take some time during the Portland sprint to work on that. Unfortunately, there is some mismatch currently between bzr and LP branch in lucid. The fixed is commited, just waiting for a release.

I really need those features for Quickly 0.4 which will land into lucid before FeatureFreeze (which is due by the end of the month).

Okay. The work and tests for announcements will be similar to series. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Just curious Didier, did any further work occur on this? It sounded like you had a good velocity so I just wanted to check if the status happened to change without updating the bug, as I'd love this feature as well.

Not on that one, unfortunately, I'm more bother about the gpg/ssh exposal in the API than the announcement which is a low priority thing for Quickly :)
If you want to work on it, you're more than welcome!
