Bug Description

Hello,

I've tried installing Astrid on a T-Mobile G2 Touch (HTC Hero) and discovered that it disabled the association of the Home button with the TouchFLO interface.

After installing Astrid, if I press the Menu button then press the Home button, then a dialog will be displayed asking saying that the home button is not associated with a function and asking whether I want to start the HTC TouchFlo interface or the original Android home page along with a checkbox to remember the selection.

If the checkbox is ticked then the chosen option is remembered until the Menu button is pressed again at which point the dialog will be displayed the next time the menu button is pressed.

This bug does not require Astrid to be running to occur and uninstalling Astrid does not fix it.

The only solution I found was to fully reset the phone and not install Astrid when reinstalling application.
Unfortunatey this mean I do not have Astrid currently installed on the phone to get the version number (and I am obviously unwilling to reinstall it if it means I've have to reset the phone again).

I noticed that the home-button-action seems to be reset every time i hold the home-button to bring up the stack of background applications.

Also, when Astrid is installed, TouchFlo is visible in this list. This is unlike normal behaviour, where TouchFlo is hidden.

Uninstalling Astrid solved the problem. Reinstalling brings it back.

This is the same on the HTC Hero, although I've found that uninstalling Astrid seems to solve it. Reinstalling makes it come back.

G1 owner here, and I have the same problem (though not specifically with TouchFlo). In the end, it's impractical to install/use any app that offers an alternative Home, since it becomes so insanely annoying to have to confirm the application I want so frequently.

I can also confirm the steps to reproduce are as simple as using the quick applications menu (long-pressing Home) and later pressing Home.

Same issue confirmed on hero. It's pretty frustrating.

Fantastic. Is there a release date for 2.9.0? Or can we install the
daily build somehow?
