With latest Karmic and telepathy-butterfly version 5ubuntu2. I got that crash when connecting an msn account.

This bug has already been fixed in git master. Next releases of papyon and tp-butterfly should work properly.

Tested on 2009-10-12, same error on 64bit Ubuntu 9.10.
Can log in to MSN account, received some contants' online information, then crashed. Contacts have Chinese characters in their display names.

I also agree that this should be closed. The launchpad bug seems to agree that it was fixed in November.
