Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

The current menu label (in the Applications menu) for abrowser is "A Web Browser". No one talks like that. It just looks odd, not to mention prevents good sorting.

Looking at the translations, they all keep the "A" as-is, without translating it. Which makes me think it's a 'brand' name we're using for the package. But (A), it's an awkward and confusing one if so and (B) the Firefox packaging itself just uses "Web Browser" in its title bar, it's About menu, and I assume elsewhere. So the Applications menu label is inconsistent with the rest of the package in this regard.

It should be a simple change to the debian/abrowser-3.5.desktop file, but I wasn't sure where the translations for that were coming from (seems manual?), so I'm not providing a debdiff. But it's just a matter of dropping a letter. And optionally manually fixing up some translations to still apply.

This is triaged pending decision from the developers. We probably won't just label it "Web Browser", but are looking into this. Please feel free to report any other issues you may find.

as discussed won't fix for now as we cannot claim such a generic name in the application menu.
