I had noticed this same problem when using firefox in KDE after flight 6 and beta, but with the most recent updates, I haven't seen this problem again. I suspect that whatever bug was causing it, has been fixed.

Do you still have the issue? Could you make a screenshot?

look at the volume slider

have a look at the scrollbar up and down buttons

What GTK theme do you use? Does it happen with an another theme?

For the screenshots they are correctly listed on that page. If you have some issue probably better to open a bug on launchpad

human - default ubuntu desktop theme

other themes don't have the problem. but they have others. with "crux" the
battery applet dies, .. try it yourself.

the theme on that screenshot is blue-ish, that's not Human

it is or was in a previous flight version

we didn't use a blue theme by default, you must have changed it yourself
