Bug Description

Binary package hint: samba

Read some wrong advice, and installed samba4. Realized it was an error, and removed completely. Tried to install samba, and that caused this error.
System Jaunty 9.04

Relevant error:

Setting up samba-common (2:3.3.2-1ubuntu3.1) ...
Not replacing deleted config file /etc/samba/smb.conf
Install/upgrade will fail. To recover, please try:
  sudo cp /usr/share/samba/smb.conf /etc/samba/smb.conf
  sudo dpkg --configure -a
dpkg: error processing samba-common (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
