Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem-xine

slider always jumps one or two minutes forward when its grabbed.

if it appears to be held still it will have jumped anyway.

so in order to seek one minute forward i actually have to drag slightly backward - while looking at the timecode...

thanks

Thanks for your bug. Does it happen with all the videos? Is that the same issue than bug #33325 by example?

since i use totem-xine it is perhaps not the same bug.

anyhow - it seems to be a totem bug since xine does not do this.

it does happen with all video media ive tried (mpeg and dvd).

as soon as i click the slider it jumps. however the timecode seems to be reliable (in fact, this is how i can tell how much the slider jumps by and how i find my way back)...

thanks

Does your problem only happen in full-screen mode?

do you click on the "slider grip" part? or somewhere else on the slider bar?

it happens in both window-mode and full screen mode...

i grab the "slider grip" (i assume you mean the handle which moves along the slider) but dont move it.

this is when - despite me not having moved it - the movie jumps roughly two minutes ahead.

its easiest for you just too try using the "slider grip" to move 30 seconds back in a dvd film. you should be able to see what i mean.

thanks
