Installation from USB media fails on Acer Aspire One

Bug Description

Binary package hint: live-initramfs

Installation from USB medium fails to boot: After displaying the white Ubuntu logo for several minutes, drops to busybox (initramfs) prompt with the error "Unable to find a medium containing a live file system." The error "stdin: error 0" is repeated many times above.

Tested with Karmic Alpha 6 ISO and also daily ISO downloaded half an hour ago.
Tested with unetbootin-356 and the USB Startup Disk Creator in Jaunty.

Hardware:
Acer Aspire One A150L (120GB hard drive version.)

Alpha 6 ISO converted to USB thumb drive with Unetbootin-372 boots fine on Asus Eee 900.

Tested with unetbootin-372 and alpha 6 ISO and still does not work.
Tested with unetbootin-372 and 9.04 ISO and it works.

I noticed that unetbootin takes a lot longer to process the 9.04 ISO than the alpha6 ISO.

many people have installed karmic on many different aspire one's and succeeded

This bug doesnt seem to be related to hardware. I have the exact same problem with the final version on a Dell XPS M1530.
