Bug Description

Binary package hint: kopete

Dapper live Beta 2 up to date

Kopete main window title is « kopete » but it sometimes becomes « %c ».
I temporarely fix it by reinstalling the package via Synaptic.

I use the KDE translation package (french).

'm using GNOME, and launch kopete by following :
System > Preferences > Sessions > Starting Programs tab, command :
kopete -caption %c %i %m %u

I've just compared it to the command in the GNOME's Menu (from where I took the command I put in the Starting Programs tab), and it's _now_ different : kopete -caption "%c" %i %m %u, %c have been replaced by "%c" !
I think there were changes between the unstable and the final release.

I try the new command and give some news as soon as possible.

I still have the problem but I think the bug is in Gnome :
A command line of a "Starting Program" item can't have a ". In fact when you type a " in a command line, it disappears when you click on OK.

Moreover these options seem to be useless (see the upstream bug report).

This is not a bug!
The `-caption "%c"` is only meant for use in the desktop file, so only for usage within KDE or GNOME menu, using this command anywhere else is just senseless.

By the way, I doubt it ever has only been `-caption %c` http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdenetwork/kopete/kopete/kopete.desktop?rev=511226&view=log

So just use `kopete` for the session autostart.

Changed in kopete:
