Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunar-archive-plugin

Selectin multiple archives and selecting extract here (in thunar) only extracts the first archive, if using Xarchiver as default archive manager for this action.

WORKAROUND:
Use the multi-extract option available when 'xarchiver' is run as a separate application. It is in the menu Applications -> Accessories -> Xarchiver.

This bug is reproducible, just grab a fresh install, open package manager and install xarchiver. After installing it, select multiple files in thunar and select option "Extract Here" a pop-up should come up letting you choose xarchiver or file-roller (default archive manager), select xarchiver and press ok. You should notice that only the first of the selected files is extracted.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

I was able to reproduce this issue using 'xarchiver' version 1:0.5.2+20090319+dfsg-4 in Xubuntu 10.04. Also, 'xarchiver' does have a menu entry created, since it does not need to work with Thunar. It can be used as a stand-alone application and does have a multi-extract option that does work.

Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
