Bug Description

When I open up an mp3 file, I've tried in MPlayer, VLC and RhythmBox, before the sound starts playing a loud crackling hit the speakers, as if the speakers are being turned on and off. This is easily replicated, once the music is playing, it no longer cracks if I open up another mp3. But once the mp3 stops, and I open another one it cracks again.

Ok, I nice gentleman in the Ubuntu+1 channel on freenode has fixed this issue for me, hopefully this helps everyone else:

00:54 <ghendar> comment out the line "options snd-hda-intel power_save=10" in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf it should be at the end of the
                file

I rebooted, when I came back, it was mint! Thanks a lot!
