Bug Description

When I wake up from suspend sometimes my bluetooth is disabled. Unlike my problem with wireless not working after i comeback from suspend if i use the switch with toggels power to the wireless and bluetooth, bluetooth will work again.

I am using Dapper flight 6 + all updates

this is my laptop https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/Lenovo3000N100

This is the output when i wake up from suspend and bluetooh is powered off. I have flipped the switch and powered back on bluethooth so it is working again then i ran dmesg. I hope this helps solve the problem

This is my first time here, so sorry if I don't know what the darn I am doing. But my Targus Bluetooth Mouse also does not wake up from suspend. I have to hit Fn-F2 twice to wake it up. Any way to fix this?

Justin, Oditius, there are a few things we can do.

First, if at all possible, test for this problem under Edgy (or perhaps even Feisty, if you can dedicate some disk to a test partition).

If the problem no longer exists under Edgy or Feisty, we'll mark the bug as closed, given that a fix was incorporated into one of these releases.

If the problem continues to occur, or if you cannot test under a more recent release, then please attach the output of the following commands:

uname -a

sudo lspci -vv

sudo lspci -vvn

sudo dmidecode

Please be sure to run these under sudo, they need root privileges to gather required information. Also please be sure to attach the output, as there will be quite a bit of it.

If you are unable to test under Edgy or Feisty, It is still worth doing this, as information in the logs may provide clues to problems in work under development, or may point to problems known to have been resolved under Edgy or Feisty.

Thanks for your assistance!

I have installed Herd 3 and suspended about 7 or 8 times and both bluetooth and wireless have always come back after the suspend. Not sure if we can close this bug but it is much better than edgy.

Oppss. guess I didn't realize that this is a Linux type forum. Oh well, thanks anyway. Guess I might just start looking at Linux instead of Windows.

The bluez-utils-3.9 fixes are race condition in the initialization routine of the adapter. So this problem should be gone now.
