Bug Description

To reproduce, log in as a user, then as another via XNest (gdmflexiserver --xnest). In the XNest window, bring up the keyboard properties window.

Works fine with a normal new user login (gdmflexiserver).

Thanks for your bug. That because Xnest doesn't provide an XKB interface, you can read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148891 about that. Reassigning as a wishlist for xnest

Fair enough, but this then identifies a problem in gnome-keyboard-properties - if there are no layout options available, either don't display a tab or provide an informative message, otherwise it looks to the user like a bug, not an unavailable option :)

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help.
