Bug Description

Binary package hint: gaim

[Dapper, ru_RU.UTF-8]

It seems, that Gaim ignores the charset setting in ICQ account setup dialog.
ICQ messages displayed just fine, but Userinfo displayed in latin-1 (see shot)

this chars are displayed like they are cp1252 but they are cp1251

I believe this is fixed in 2.0.0beta3. Have you tried that?

edgy has gaim 2.0beta, marking as fixed. Feel free to reopen if you still have the issue with it
