Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
gnome-screensaver 2.28.0-0ubuntu1
Setting idle_delay as mandatory via gconf as no effect. Works in Jaunty, but not in recent Karmic release.

<gconf>
<dir name="apps">
<dir name="gnome-

</entry>
<entry name="lock_enabled" mtime="1255489223" type="bool" value="true"/>
<entry name="idle_delay" mtime="1255489192" type="int" value="15"/>
<entry name="idle_
</dir>
</dir>
</gconf>
Users are still able to adjust the idle time; the slider is not disabled.
