Bug Description
The axis/button mapping for the Saitek X52 joystick has changed between 2.6.15-22-34 and 2.6.15-23.35. The current behaviour causes no response to some buttons and axis movements, incorrectly labels one of the axes as a button, and indicates that four separate buttons indicate actions on the blocked axis.
I can replicate the irregular behaviour using all games I have tried, and have checked the lower-level responses with js_demo and input-events.
Please let me know what information would be useful to debug this: I currently have both kernels installed, and could generate parallel output from the desired commands.

Oddly, this fixed after three or four reboots. I'm now suspecting the timing during device initiation, but it is no longer a blocking bug, and as I cannot replicate, no debugging information can be generated.
