i used sudo growisofs -Z /dev/scd0=/path/file.iso instead and it worked...

could you get a brasero log by running brasero as: brasero --debug --brasero-media-debug &> brasero-debug.txt ; reproduce the issue and attach the resulting file to the report? thanks.

Well, 2 successful burns and 2 failed checksums... the gears must be dirty and its time for new burner :(
I say failed checksum because it never finished the calculation, I canceled after the ETR passed 27Hrs.
CD's burn fine, Just not DVDR
Here is the txt you requested.
