Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
Using Karmic RC. When I resume from suspend, network manager notifies me that the network is disconnected using notify-osd. The problem is, this notification persists for the maximum duration even though the network reconnects in the meantime. The "connected" notification does not appear until the "disconnected" notification expires, well after the actual connection event.
I think network manager should follow these guidelines on merging related notifications, so the "connected" notification overrides the "disconnected" notification, which is no longer relevant:
