managing repositories is very strange

Bug Description

I've been testing adept according to Testing/Current and found some weirdnesses while adding universe as suggested:

* It's very very confusing and the UI should be completely changed
* I had to resise the window to make the components show
* When I enable a line, I have the line cursor on it, but the line with the line cursor is displayed the same way whether it's enabled or disabled so selecting `enable' from the right button menu doesn't appear to do anything.
* Security is not automatically added when a line is added (it should be).
* Initially I had no idea what to do and I had to just guess. The Adept / Manage Repositories menu item is not discoverable compared to the vast array of knobs and buttons on the main screen; and then the right button / Enable option is not discoverable compared to Add etc.

I wonder if finishing the adept guide that I'm working on would help out with this bug? I think its more of a wishlist item then an actual bug?
