Ubuntu German Translators

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome

On the laptop in the logout dialog are standby and suspend to disk buttons.

They are translated into german at the moment like this:

1) standby: In den Ruhezustand versetzen
2) suspend to disk: Ruhezustand

Germans will have difficulties to separate between:
1) standby: put into suspend
2) suspend to disk: suspend

kind regards, Sven

I changed these translations according to
suspend to RAM: Standby
suspend to disk: Ruhezustand.
Unfortunately, not all of my changes have made it through Rosetta's import queue yet.

This was fixed some time ago. We are waiting for a new language pack release in dapper.

suspend (to RAM) -> "Standby"
hibernate (suspend to disk) -> "Ruhezustand"

If you want to check the current translation status you could use the daily updated language packs:

deb http://people.ubuntu.com/~pitti/langpacks/daily/ ./

Thanks,

Sebatian

I reuploaded gdm and gnome-power-manager today, but haven't received any import notification yet.
