Bug Description

Binary package hint: kwin

If no window is open, first alt-tab displays 'no window is open'. Then the second alt-tab results in crashing kwin. All windows lose their headers; sometimes panels get closed (invisible?); some windows can't receive input. All I can do is pressing a key combination to log off.

I can't reproduce this.

I tested by going to an empty virtual desktop.

Once again: I have some applets (kmail, klipper, etc.) launched, but NO active window open. I press alt-tab (or whatever key combination for switching apps) twice and get the bug.

This bug also appears in different places and situations. I've got it some times, but I don't remember quite well. Anyway, being a programmer I feel sure this was the same bug...

Maybe it's been fixed somewhere else? Yuriy, You should be using russian kubuntu, which version of kwin and x system you have?

Does this still happen to you with a newer version of KDE?

No, I believe it's been fixed. In Edgy all seems ok.
