Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Evince does not display the attached pdf correctly, while acrobat does so just fine.
The pdf has been created in matlab and modified in inkscape, in particular, a pattern fill has been added to some of the structures, which is not confined in the correct areas in evince. This problem also occurs with another pdf created in the same way.
I'd be happy to provide the svg file if that helps.

Additionally memory usage was varying wildly (from 300MiB to 1900MiB) while loading and viewing this pdf (without any further interaction with evince).

I'd be happy to provide any further information or testing if that should be helpful. Unfortunately I can't really tell if this is a duplicate of one of the other 'evince doesn't show pdf correctly' bugs.

thanks,

atreju

The problem is that clipToStrokePath() is not implemented in cairo backend, so we are filling the whole area with the tiling pattern instead of just the area that would be affected by a stroke.
We need cairo_stroke_to_path() which is not yet implemented in cairo :-(
