Bug Description
Binary package hint: evince
Evince 2.28.1 (in Ubuntu 9.10) will not print without scaling the PDF document incorrectly.
Using measurements right off a sheet of standard blank business cards and a JPG guide from Avery, I created a set of basic business card templates in Inkscape. Output to PDF, Adobe Acrobat Reader will print the PDF so the images fit on the sheet of pre-punched cards.
Evince will not; it appears to be unable to print "full-sheet" and instead it scales and centres the image incorrectly.
Acrobat Reader has options to disable this behaviour, and will print correctly. Evince needs similar options.
Evince is a great on-screen PDF viewer, but acroread is currently required for accurate PDF printing, which is unfortunate.
Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/Bugs/ Upstream/ GNOME)
