Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

The mozilla.com localized versions of firefox feature local news feeds and help. Ubuntu's one has a english one, which keeps being in english even on another languages.

Is this still and issue for you? We are trying to trying sort out the older Mozilla issues and would like to know if this still happens.

In fact, i've been installing systems with edgy, and then upgrading them to feisty. If I create a new account on feisty, the new account should reflect these settings.

Given the nature of firefox's bookmarks, I don't think this can be fixed anyway.

right, locale settings for profile defaults are only applied once during profile creation.

Why is this marked »Won’t Fix«?

This still happens, I just tested the newest image in a virtual machine. It is totally confusing for German users being served links for English sites.

Furthermore, when you go to Hilfe → Versionshinweise, you are directed to http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/releasenotes/1004

It works in the localized Windows and normal Linux builds, only Ubuntu seems to have problems.
