Bug Description

It's a normal practice to add white noise to conversation pauses during VoIP calls. That prevent thinking, that connection is broken. Empathy should do it.

When both sides keep silence, there no sound at all in speakers. It's normal practive in IP telephony to substitute silence with a very small generated noise. That increase impression, that connection stil exists.

Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. Your Bug Description is confusing, what are you trying to get changed in empathy? Maybe re-wording the description may help me understand it better.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

this is a feature request so not a papercut

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
