Info pages installed incorrectly

Bug Description

when the xemacs info pages are installed with the package xemacs21-support, the wrong entry is added to the dir file.

The relavent entry is:
* XEmacs21: (xemacs21/xemacs21). Documentation for XEmacs 21.4.17

which should read:
* XEmacs21: (xemacs21/xemacs). Documentation for XEmacs 21.4.17

The current version stops info from finding the correct file and typing info xemacs shows the man page.

Also, the xemacs faq info doc (installed by the same package) doesn't get a dir entry.

This is using Breezy.

The diffs discribed at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=184197
fixed this problem for me in the debian package. It should work the same for Ubuntu. I don't see how this bug is still relavent actually.

I have checked this in feisty and gutsy. On neither system this problem occurs. I have also checked the source and the relevant file does include a reference to obtain the major release number and adds the path to the search.

Missunderstood the problem. In both releases 'info xemacs' shows the man page of xemacs while 'info xemacs21' shows the top node of the info pages

Enclosed is the debdiff for fixing this bug.

The correct path to subdirectory in /usr/share/info is set, the correct install-info command for adding and removing applied.

Changed Debian Bug tracker to #330253, which describes the same issue, Debian Bug #184197 is a different issue which relates to calling info pages from inside xemacs.

Here is an improved version of a fix. The only difference is to use the macro for the major version number in the install-info removal command. Will be easier to maintain in the future.

Can you please fix "<raj@oulp>"? Set DEBEMAIL and DEBFULLNAME in .bashrc to avoid things like that.

Sorry for that. Here is the corrected version. I also saw that I didn't put in MOTU for Maintainers, and the original maintainer in the second tag. Have done that too.

Have put the env variables in my .bashrc, but *ubuntu is just far too stable:) No reboot - No logout :D
