unclear meaning of resubmit action

Bug Description

Merge proposals now have a 'resubmit' action, which marks the old one superseded and creates a new review of the same branch. Essentially this hides the conversation to date.

Now that mp diffs update automatically(?) this is generally no longer necessary, and possibly a bad idea. It may be that the "throw out this conversation and start again" is such a rare action that it's better to just let people do it manually?

Its my understanding that there is a fix in the queue to carry the conversation over. I filed a separate bug about notifying people on updates to merges, which is I think the thing that really is needed (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad-code/+bug/485625).

  status fixreleased

Since I filed this, the resubmit button has changed so that it gives
you the chance to resubmit with a different target etc, and to choose
whether to carry over the conversation, and so I think the bug is now
effectively fixed. Probably the ui could still be improved but this
particular issue is closed. Thanks!
