screen multiple blanking on tty's

Bug Description
Hi. I'm using a fresh install of Dapper. If i switch to any terminal ALT+F1-6, the screen blanks for about a second - and repeats this at seemingly random intervals whilst using the terminal.
System log appears to show:
Jun 7 20:43:42 localhost kernel: [4298706.515000] agpgart: Found an AGP 3.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0.

after every switch to the terminal.
(Will attach lspci -vv to next post if i can figure out how!)
