Bug Description

Nothing happens when clicking "connect" in the Ubuntu One client - the icon flickers for an instant and then nothing happens. The icon remains a grey could with an exclamation mark in it.

I've tried the u1sync --authorize too, but it just hangs indefinitely.

Upon digging in the logs, I found this in ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log:

2009-12-01 14:22:18,607 - ubuntuone.SyncDaemon.DBus - ERROR - Can't get the auth token
Traceback (most recent call last):

NoAccessToken: No access token found.

~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/oauth-login.log
~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf

and the results of

Hello, thanks for the files but could you provide ~/.config/ubuntuone/syncdaemon.conf if it exists?

Additionally, could you please quit the applet and start it from command line. It is possible that it prints out some error messages on startup that are not properly handled yet.

It does not. Sorry I forgot to mention earlier!

Nothing is printed, neither by the applet or 'u1sync --authorize'

Aha!

Changing the default browser from Google Chrome (from the Google APT repository) to Firefox solved the problem!

Let me know if I can help in any way to debug why it is so...
