Bug Description

Testing the daily build of Lucid Lynx in the Canonical laptops lab.

The desktop started in low-graphics mode on one machine.

Included is the Xorg.1.log and Xorg.failsafe.log files. I will provide any other needed file.

Same here on first boot with lucid-alpha1 inside a vmware.

my working solution
boot in recovery (single mode)
choose root console
and type gdm

i'm with lucid as normal system (not a virtual machine) and i habe an Intel X3100 integrated graphic card that worked well on karmic

Starting gdm from console works fine.
