Bug Description

My gnome-session seems to hang randomly after suspend or hibernate. It _might_ be related to the network not being available on resume.

Because of this bug I cannot start x programs, for example xterm (bt in attachment). The relevant bit:
connect(4, {sa_family=AF_FILE, path="/tmp/.ICE-unix/5279"}, 21) = 0
fcntl64(4, F_SETFD, FD_CLOEXEC) = 0
write(4, "\0\1\0\0\0\0\0\0", 8) = 8
read(4, <unfinished ...>

I can confirm it now. How to reproduce:
- Hibernate (or suspend) in with static ip
- Resume in another network environment, with different ip settings
- try to open _any_ X program (for example a terminal), this will fail

status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed

I marked this High since it is impossible to change the ip settings to a working state using the GUI, network-admin hangs when I try to aunch it.

Does your loopback is still correctly configured when that happens? Does "ping 127.0.0.1" works correctly? Might be a duplicate of bug #26419
