Screen does not get blank when "Blank Screen" is chosen in gnome-screensaver and the theme has background pattern

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

I noticed this in Ubuntu 6.06: if the theme has background patterns (pixmaps), for example "Smokey Blue", selecting "Blank Screen" in gnome-screensaver does not make the screen blank when the screensaver starts, but instead the background pattern is displayed.

I tried with two different such themes and the behavior is the same.

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks.

I reported this on bugzilla.gnome.org and there is a patch for it now:

Could you please apply it to the Ubuntu version too?

Thanks.
