Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

~$ rhythmbox --sync

(<unknown>:10886): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times
The program 'rhythmbox' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 24244 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

---------------------Just after 2 songs or when i close a nautilus window & sometimes without any user input,rhythmbox quits suddenly..i have a couple of 3rd party plugins installed like "desktop art","open containing folder","remuco" ....could either of these be the reason??
My system is Ubuntu 9.10 x86 on Acer Aspire 5920,rhythmbox 0.12.6 with compiz
Plz help as i really love rhythmbox a lot!

Am sorry but am still new to Linux..so the method that was suggested to
backtrace the actual problem seemed too complex with all the CLI statements
that I was hoping for a easier GUI assisted method to trace the error...Plz
forgive my ignorance...
I reinstalled the whole OS & now Rhythmbox works fine..guess some of the
plugins(3rd party from gnome-live website) messed up with the app...
Regards
Vishnu!

I can produce this bug if i do update in synaptic while rhythmbox is playing music.

I figured it out.
Plug-in was the cause off crashing
When i disabled plug-in TitleBar crashing stopped.

TitleBar v0.1.1

Most of the time, this problem is due to a plugin.
If you get that message, try to remove the last plugin you've installed.
For example, removing rhytmarty or TitleBar can be helping.
