Bug Description

The Sun Java JDK docs are not listed in any of the categories in yelp when you browse through them.

The corresponding .omf file says "<subject category=""/>". You may change it to "<subject category="Development"/>" or something similar to easily find the docs via yelp.

Thank you for your bug report. Do you still have this issue with the latest release of Ubuntu ?

In Ubuntu feisty I have switched to sun-java6. The java-docs still don't get listed in yelp. I though it would be nice to have a central overview of installed documentation.

Well I don't know what to do with this, so I'm suscribing ubuntu-docs team.

I have unsubscribed the docs team because there is nothing we can do about it. The Sun JDK docs are to be viewed with a web browser. The only thing I could see that could get this to show up in yelp, is the proper .desktop file get moved somewhere. I would leave this for the Java packagers and hope they get this fixed, granted this is a wishlist bug.

The fix mentioned by the original bug reporter is the correct one - the omf file needs to contain a category (the list of categories can be found in /usr/share/scrollkeeper/Templates/C/scrollkeeper_cl.xml).

I can't find the omf file, it maybe in the .bin provided by sun, so we may have to report this to them so they fix this.
