Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

I am trying to connect to a server via ftp that does a 127 redirect to the users home directory as described in Bug 46656.

I attempted a workaround by putting a few '../'s into the ftp URL to get to the root directory and then use full path referencing to get to my directory. Nautilus reported that it couldn't connect to the server because it didn't exist.

The URL it tried had the '../'s removed including the first backslash.

e.g. If I attempted to connect to:
ftp://mydomain.org/../stuff
Nautilus reports that it couldn't connect to:
ftp://mydomain.orgstuff

Sorry, that should be a 257 redirect, not a 127 redirect.

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Ubuntu is that? Can you try to run
    gnomevfs-ls <uri>
on the URL? If it's the same as bug 46656 it might be fixed once we upload a new gnome-vfs with the fix of http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119245
