Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg
I have a Labtec "media" keyboard with a lot of special keys like volume control and browser function keys on top. None of them work on a default ubuntu installation. I can use "xev" to get the keycodes. It seems that no keysyms are assigned for any of the special keys. It would be nice if that would work "out of the box" . Windows does recognize this keyboard. No driver install needed.

This has been fixed by a recent update of KDE in edgy. Special keys now work out of the box like a charm using kmilo.
