Bug Description

s2s segfaults on my amd64 server, shortly after startup. Upgrading to 2.0s10 (using a package built from the source pkg out of debian experimental) fixed the problem.

Does this still occur under Ubuntu 6.06 LTS?

I can't confirm, as I have switched to using ejabberd since filing this bug. Sorry.

I have had this problem since I started using Ubuntu - at Breezy and am using Dapper - I expect that this problem will still exist in Edgy unless Jabberd2 is Finally upgraded, because I believe it is this bug: http://j2.openaether.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=122 (which was fixed before 2.0s10)

I'm using jabberd2 2.0s8-0ubuntu5 on edgy/amd64, and s2s does vanish suddenly. However, I can't confirm a crash - about 5 minutes after startup, the process logs that it's shutting down and is gone. I assume the process is terminating gracefully after that log message.

2.0s11 seems to be in Debian experimental now if someone wants to request a UVFe.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. Is this still an issue for anyone? Can someone try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

It's been two years. Do you honestly think it still matters?

FWIW, I've given up on reporting bugs here, the response time just doesn't encourage me.

I appears to be working now. I re-setup Jabberd2 and it is logged in from pidgin. Has been for a couple weeks. (Although for some reason gmail seems to think that account is offline, it can still IM it and get back the autoresponse.)

Closing as it does not seem to be an issue anymore.
