Modifying device section of xorg.conf like this makes the freeze to disappear

Section "Device"
Identifier "NVIDIA Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200]"
        Driver "nvidia"
        BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
        Option "NvAGP" "0"
        Option "RenderAccel" "Off"
        Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP,TV"
        Option "NoRenderExtension" "Off"
        Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "Off"
EndSection

Happens on 32 bit install too.

It has somethign to do with Xserver/ AGP settings of xserver , Freeze doesnt happen when we use Xgl.

Its specific to do with the 8756 drivers , I used to run Dapper on TNT2 card , then it never gave a problem.

Feels like working on win-95 !!

Set package from (undefined) to xorg-server
Can you confirm that it still happens in edgy/feisty?
Thanks
