Bug Description

I had tried putting symbolic links to the folders I wanted Ubuntu One to backup in the Ubuntu One folder, but when that didn't work, I tried moving the folders themselves. When I did, I almost instantly got a status message to the effect that synchonization was complete. Not wanting to leave my Documents folder inside the Ubuntu One folder, I moved it back into my home folder, only when I did, the Documents folder apparently ceased to exist. I can't find my Documents folder again, which is a pretty huge problem.

Lure,
Sorry you are experiencing problems with Ubuntu One. The Ubutnu One Team is looking into your issue and will respond with more specific comments/questions as soon as possible.

You can search your Hard Drive from the terminal to confirm or negate that your Documents Folder is gone. Open a Terminal (Applications> Accessories > Terminal) and then run the following command:

sudo updatedb && locate Documents

This will search the Hard Drive for the Documents folder.
Thank you for submitting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Thanks, duanedesign. I'm embarrassed to say that that has fixed the problem. I had just dropped the folder into one of the dot folders by accident when I tried to move it back to the home directory.

Changed in ubuntuone-client:
status: New → Invalid
