Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

When closing a folder, the opened folder icon stays for around two seconds then changes back to the closed folder icon. In nautilus 2.14.x this action was instant.

Works fine for me. DO you have some notification issues, like when you create a new file from a command line to Desktop does it make some time to appear on the desktop?

nautilus on i386 works flawlessly too, only my amd64 box shows this behaviour.

I just noticed that it works flawlessly after around three seconds but if you open and close it quicker the described delay kicks in.

Now it happens on my edgy desktop but the icon is not changed after some seconds, it keeps being displayed as open, I've forwarded the issue upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349168

I'm seeing this in feisty (Nautilus 2.18.0.1) - folders are shown with the open icon even after they have been closed. This is for the duration of the session and is consistent across the desktop, spatial and browser windows.

In karmic beta (nautilus 2.28.0), the open icon is not used in browser mode (assumed to be intentional) but works fine across the desktop, spatial and browser windows in spatial mode. This bug can be closed.
