Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
Hi,
I'm upgrading an up-to-date Hardy chroot, with firefox 3.0 installed:
apt-cache policy firefox-3.0
firefox-3.0:
Installed: 3.0.17+
Candidate: 3.0.17+
Version table:
*** 3.0.17+
100 /var/lib/
when upgrading to Lucid, I'm getting an error when installing firefox-branding, because of firefox.desktop file:
...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
This is because firefox-branding should Conflicts/Replaces Firefox-3.0.
