Bug Description

Binary package hint: ocaml

Please sync ocaml 3.11.2-1 (main) from Debian sid (main)

Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
The Ubuntu patch has been merged upstream.

The transition to the new upstream version of OCaml (3.11.2) has
started in Debian. I recommend doing it at the same time in Ubuntu,
instead of automatically importing when everything is in testing
(which will most likely cause headaches because of the mix of packages
sourcefully uploaded and binNMU'ed).

As FeatureFreeze is already next week will this transition be finished till then? Or will some FF exceptions be needed?
If that's the case talking to the release managers would probably be helpful.

The transition won't probably be finished by next week in Debian, but
OCaml 3.11.2 will most likely be part of Squeeze. This transition should
be uneventful and can be handled quite quickly if buildds/uploaders keep
up. You can see the progress in Debian at:
