Bug Description
The marital status is defined twice: first in module hr as a selection type and again in hr_contract in the completion of the hr.employee object as a link to the hr.employee.
When you install both modules, you get the fields under the tab "general" and "miscellaneous" (by the way miss-spelled in the tab title).
The implementation in the hr_contract module is more generic but presenting two fields for the same information will lead to incoherent data encoding.

It will be better to have the marital status fields with the employee compare to contract.
