Lucid Alpha 3 Live CD boots to login screen

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I thought about just using this bug report:

But this is not a true duplicate. I'm testing the Lucid Alpha 3 iso: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20100223.1/lucid-desktop-i386.iso
md5sum: 01801b0b87669fdcd75fe8d827dac364

The Live CD once again boots to the login screen but on my initial test I was able to boot to the Live Desktop just by pressing enter several times. On subsequent testing this however failed and I had to enter username = ubuntu with NO password and that got me to the Live Desktop.

Not sure if ubiquity was the proper package to file this against or not, sorry in advance.

At worst I'd consider this a very minor inconvenience.

Using the same ISO, md5sum matches , and I'm not affected using a LiveUSB.

Tested again with http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20100224.1/lucid-desktop-i386.iso and the problem persists.

I can either enter the username "ubuntu" and no password or if I choose to install, then choose to quit, then I can get to the desktop.

I´ve also experimented this problem but I don´t know why. Suddenly crash to the login screen. I´m using Ubuntu Lucid Alpha 3
