Binary package hint: kubuntu-
1. Availability: check
2. Rationale: Kubuntu uses KDE's internal bug report and backtrace collection system 'drkonqi'. To allow it to find and install packages with debug symbols it requires kubuntu-
3. Security: there are no security associated with this software since it does nothig more than resolve the appropriate debug packages and then invokes the specific tools to actually install them.
4. QA: All good here
5. UI standards: check
6. Dependencies: All dependencies are in main already
7. Standards compliance: check
8. Maintenance: Maintenance and future development is done by the Kubuntu development team. It should be noted that the maintenance effort is rather low though.

No special remarks about security.

my gut feeling would be that drkonqi might deserve this code on its own (e.g. a kubuntu backend) ... maybe consider that in mid term. Just my 2c ... Thanks!
