I am having this same problem. I hate disabling prism, but will try to see if it works. I couldn't even report the bug using ubuntu-bug because that ties in to firefox.

I marked this bug confirmed.
After the update this morning Firefox would not start. Deleting compatibility.ini in the profile folder allowed FF to start, but only once. Disabling the Prism Add-on allowed FF to be started repeatedly with out deleting the compatibility.ini

2.6.32-17-generic
firefox 3.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu6

Changed in firefox (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed
