Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I launch firefox using lucid beta 1 (still not fixed in 14.04.1 LTS). Windows controls are on left side as they are suppose to be. Press F11 for full screen, move mouse to top of screen, the hidden toolbars appear but the windows controls for minimize, maximize and close are on the right side.

TEST CASE:
1) Use the default Ubuntu desktop theme with window controls on the left
2) Start Firefox
3) Switch to fullscreen mode (e.g. press [F11])
4) Move mouse pointer to the top of the screen to reveal toolbars/window controls

ACTUAL RESULTS:
* Fullscreen window controls appear on the right in the order: minimize, maximize, close.
* Window controls look different from those in the normal mode.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
* Fullscreen window controls should appear on the left in the order: close, minimize, maximize, i.e. the same as normal mode window controls.
* Window controls should look the same as normal mode controls.

I can confirm this on my Lucid machine as well. It seems that the buttons created when Firefox is in fullscreen may be independent of metacity, which is what causes the buttons to be on the left normally. Whether or not this is something that can be "fixed," I'm not sure. The plan is to have the button location be theme-specific for metacity, but I'm not sure if the buttons created while in fullscreen can be theme-specific as well. I'm setting this to Confirmed until we can figure out how this can be addressed.

Changed in firefox (Ubuntu):
